Also, I agree that it is our best shot. Without 04 and 08, Utah wouldn't have been in the P12. Without 08, 09, 2010, I doubt TCU sees the Big 12. Boise State doesn't really have the appeal of a major national university, but is a great football school. They've found their niche in cfb and i wouldn't be surprised to see them in the cfp some day soon.

BYU is a great school, academically speaking. Better than tons of P5 for undergraduate. But we choked when it mattered most. I think had 08 or 09 come through (they were still good years, I'd argue if we pulled it together after losing everyone in 2010 and did well 2011 and after), we wouldn't be where we are today, not that it's terrible, we're just making the worst of it. Start winning and getting respect the way BYU did in 80s and 90s, and we get an invite IMO. No more gosh awful coordinators.
