Certain hires/promotions/time of stay have hurt BYU for multiple seasons. We're just now recovering from Weber. Doman killed a few seasons. Howell killed last season. Overall recruiting from top to bottom from 2011-13 is still being felt. Had to fire Hill.
I get it, coaching moves happen. Guys get fired all the time. But the inability to be consistent is killing Bronco. He can't field an offense and defense in the same year anymore. We may finally get that back but like i said, the depth is still suffering from those recruiting years that now make up this team.
Like you said, they really needed to take advantage of it back then, back when the schedules were easier too. Utah and TCU both did their thing. BYU never did. Made it to what, #14 once, but not quite a BCS buster.
