The answer is to win.
It is that simple, win and it everything will take care of itself. Utah has had more big time wins in the past decade and has owned Bronco.

For LDS kids they are smart enough to know Utah does not provide the same LDS experience. They know Utah is a commuter school. No need to negatively market against Utah. Utah is what it is.

The downside is Utah is in the state Utah (ie tons of Mormons).....there are a lot of LDS kids who attend Utah. Thus you will have plenty of good LDS girls to date given the location, you could even date BYU girls. Utah offers the opportunity to play against USC, Stanford, Oregon etc every year and not wait to play big name teams every few years mainly on the road.

Utah offers a better LDS experience than most schools (ex-BYU) for kids who are not sold on BYU or BM. It is not BYU from an LDS standpoint, but it is an alternative for kids who want both worlds (P5 and LDS girls to date) and not worried about it being a commuter school.
