With how many sports channels there are, WatchESPN won't make a dent on cable
companies. I would get WatchESPN, but I'd hardly be able to watch anything if I just had that. There's FoxSports1, NBA on TNT, Baseball on TBS, CBS Sports, MLBTV, NBATV, NFLTV, Altitude, Root Sports... I don't see how anybody could transition fully to watching sports online. WatchESPN simply won't cut it, especially when there's events such as the NBA playoffs on several different channels. And you'd have to pay even more to legally get all the other games online in each sport's streaming service, such as NBATV. Cable is honestly cheaper and more convenient to get all your sports in one place and one package. I don't see anything changing unless somebody develops an online way to watch all your sports in one place.
