That's a cop out IMO. If a man is deserving of a position than you give him
the position. Patronizing him and telling him he's better off doing what he's doing now would be a shame.
If you were gunning for a new job in an effort to obtain your own personal goals would you want the hiring manager saying... "Look ______ you are a great fit for this job and would do great things in the position but... you do a great job currently therefore you just better stay with your current job".
