Assistant has to be a fulltime undergraduate student pursuing their first bachelors degree. Noah probably graduated while he was still playing or shortly after so I don't think he meets the criteria to be a student assistant.

He is probably designated as non-coaching personnel like the director of ops, managers and other support staff. Non coaching staff cannot coach but they can scout, attend coaches meetings, and do other administrative duties.
