The church is not against firearms. It even says law enforcement officers are
"allowed" to bring them into the building, they just don't believe a place of worship is appropriate for "just anyone" to carry.
Other than that, I don't believe there would be any such "objection" to an EQ activity of building personal firearms outside of the church building, or even less concern with the activity taking place at some member's home.
