I've owned a dozen poles over the years and right now
I am fishing a 7 foot graphite pole from Walmart. It has great touch and was only 25 bucks. I was recommended the pole by a friend that fishes weekly and it has been great.

Buying a combo setup usually leaves you with a reel that lacks quality.

I usually buy a cheap pole, and focus more on the reel.
