"The Ugly Stick" is my favorite pole. It cost about $35.00. I've owned it for
over 10 years, and fished my whole life. (I am becoming an old man. so that's a long time). I think Walmart carries it. Costco may carry it.
It is more of a stream fishing pole though, not really long enough to get large casts out into lakes.
