more negativity
Let's look at the single provided reason for the change:

"Let's just say that experience has shown that some users in the past have shown a pattern of posting personal attacks, then self-deleting them after a couple minutes to avoid moderator wrath. They just hoped the person they were attacking saw it by then."

That's it.

Instead of including an example that illustrates the common mistake of accidentally posting a public message that should have been FO, the single example given is one involving a poster who intentionally wants to act like a jerk.

How many of us have accidentally posted a message meant for FO and tried to delete the message before getting stung by a moderator? I've done it repeatedly. Yeah, I'm stupid. That's different from being a jerk. Of course, it appears that it's probably assumed that I'm just being a jerk in those cases.

Regardless, it's a great feature. I'd rather flip a message to FO than delete it and repost.

Thanks!
