Sorry, but those issues have been at BYU forever.
And LaVell and even Crowton got more kids drafted. it is not as if what BYU is has changed in that time period. Missions and the HC are not new either. There is something to it, and that is what stinks. Because I wish I could just blame it on missions, but I can't.
Player development is an issue. Teams just prefer to pick up BYU guys as UDFAs instead of taking a shot on them in Rounds 5-7. Even punters and long snappers got picked up in rounds 5-7, and they are a dime a dozen. So it can't be ignored.
