There is nowhere out there with a greater division between LDS and non-LDS than in the state of Utah. A large portion of non-members there go out of their way to stand out in contrast to their LDS neighbors. I've lived in a lot of other places, including some very liberal locales (i.e. Bay Area), and I've never felt the same level of disdain for my religion/beliefs that I felt from some of the folks in Utah.
