I'm a little surprised that there wasn't an in-office follow-up check
involved. That is usually when problems (if they arise) are solved.

Most O.D.s don't send a patient out the door with purchased contacts unless they are sure the contacts are the same kind the patient has been wearing, and that the patient assures the O.D. that the contacts have been problem free. Otherwise, the doctor will usually start the patient with a pair of trial lenses and have them return in a week or so for a follow-up check. Takes more time that way but can eliminate problems like your wife had.

Glad that you got things worked out with the store manager. WalMart will usually work like that as well.
