Hate to criticize KC, because we have NO CHANCE without his rebounding efforts (15 rebounds against a very tall frontcourt: Parsons- 6'9, Tyus- 6'9, Macklin- 6'10). If he makes that free throw, only wins against Butler and VCU are in the way of a national title appearance. Butler and VCU were both obviously very good teams, but they had their shortcomings too. 2011 was a crazy year and where all the top seeds were eliminated. The final four featured a 3 seed UConn (who had 9 losses on the year, mind you), a 4 seed Kentucky, 8-seed Butler, and 11-seed VCU. Who knows what may have happened with another game. It's all about survive and advance, and sometimes you just get a little unlucky.
