Is it wrong for someone that is career minded to go to BYU?

Just curious because... sports, as stupid and ridiculous as it may seem to YOU... does offer a career for many people. Why is it ok for someone that wants to become a Lawyer to come to BYU and we invest in that... but it's of little worth to invest in someone that wants to have a professional career in sports?
