.....if they were accepted to Harvard or Yale's law school and did not explore the option prior to attending BYU. Personally I would think they were silly for not attending Harvard/Yale for law school over BYU.

Nothing wrong with it, but there would be other factors that come to play. If someone was solely basing their decision on their career Harvard/Yale would be the correct choice almost all the time.
