I think Bronco is a better than average coach, he has had his moments and brought great attention to BYU, but more than anything, more than players in the NFL, awards, wins/losses, etc. is how can the Bronco apologists not see what has happened to BYU compared to our rivals/counterparts under Bronco's watch? If the rich kept on getting richer and the big time programs took over completely I would understand and become an Bronco apologist myself. But look at how Utah, TCU, and Boise have all surpassed BYU as a football program, sure BYU has more awards and wins in their history, but in terms of a football program today, we rank below all of them and this all happened under Bronco's watch. Utah State went from a nobody to our rival?
How did these schools suprass BYU as a football program? Coaching! That is how. Not one of those schools has anything BYU can't do besides recruit a few better DB's. There is no reason BYU shouldn't put as many or more OL, DL, LB's into the NFL as the other teams. What once was our recruiting strength - OL and DL, does not exist any longer. I am fine with 8-5 seasons once in a while, but that is the new trend all while our counterparts have accomplished great seasons - even with new QB's and even new head coaches.
