There have been other athletes from other sports that have tried out for football and you don't really hear about it. For example, last year Linehan tried out as a defensive back. Other than hearing he was doing it, you didn't hear anything else. If Ziggy hadn't worked out, you would have heard a few stories about this big fast guy who didn't know how to put on pads, and then nothing more. These last two are higher profile because they are getting scholarships and are an announced part of the class. Most of the "athletic specimens" from other sports that try football are walkons that we hear very little or nothing about, and then they are gone.
