the movie shows happening to the allied soldiers (such as the paratrooper hanging from a clock tower by his parachute) were real, they actually happened during the Normandy invasion. BTW, watch for the part where they show general Eisenhower, because the actor who played him is a dead ringer for the real Eisenhower.
