We have the hardest time getting our grad students to seek jobs out of state (I'm faculty at BYU). It makes it really hard for us to find new candidates for faculty positions because nobody wants to leave the state and we can't hire them straight out of BYU until they've gone elsewhere.

I suppose I can't complain because I'm one of them. We went out of state for school, but I knew my wife wanted to go back to Utah and be by family.
