A home in my neighborhood is being built right now on a 0.25 acre lot. It will be 2800 sq feet with a finished basement, and they are asking $420,000. That's ludicrous. I don't care if it means my house is worth more. I don't plan on moving for the next 40 years, so it doesn't mean diddly squat for me. Also, what many crazy people don't understand is that even if you sell your house for more than you bought it, unless you are moving to a lower cost area, like Wyoming, it's all a wash because you will be buying a higher priced house anyways. Like Billy Currington said, people are crazy.
