I agree that they were both worth the risk
While statistics and technique play into recruiting, the biggest factor is if they are physically capable of playing at the college level. By all accounts both of these young men are capable of not only that, but possibly making the NFL.

People wonder why BYU was dominant in the 80's and not now? Two reasons: One was an innovative offense. But the 2nd and probably just as important was that BYU got virtually all of the Polynesians. Today teams from all across the country recruit from that talent pool with USC, Washington and others with huge Polynesian ties.

This could be a huge competitive advantage for BYU. Let's hope that these guys are the first of many.

I am excited for the day when CB tells me that neither of them count as draft picks from Bronco's regime because he didn't really "recruit" either of them.
