Frustrated a bit with my first fillings
Never had one before so wasn't really sure what to expect other than knowing that my wife and son both had fillings and were totally fine the next day.

Went in May 1 and got 3 fillings. One top and two bottom on my left side molars. After two weeks of hardly being able to chew, even on my right side, I went back in and got my bite adjusted. It made a huge difference, but I can still only chew harder stuff on my right side and the left side is still crazy sensitive to cold and pressure. When I rinse my mouth out after brushing, the whole left side lights up from the cold. I went in this morning and they adjusted my bite a little bit more but basically said to just try taking 800mg ibuprofen for a week and laying off it to see if it can get the nerve to stop being inflamed. It doesn't hurt when I'm not doing anything with it. She also said that they were "ideal" fillings and that there was no apparent reason why they would be doing this other than luck of the draw or whatever. So basically she said just wait it out. It does seem to be improving slightly, but it's taking a long time. So I guess, best case it takes a few more weeks (months) and slowly gets better, or worst case it doesn't get better or gets worse and I have to get a root canal or something?
