A factory reset helped me for a while...but I think software is designed
to take up an ever increasing level of resources. However, a clean wipe, deletion of all my old pictures and text files, a refocus of my apps to ones I really use seemed to do the trick.

After the third time I took it back to Verizon since the GPS was glitchy and they said because I had been paying my monthly insurance fee I qualified to get an upgraded replacement from the old original Droid Razr to the newer Droid MAXX.

Now it works like a charm and I avoided losing my unlimited data or paying the $500 to get a Droid Turbo or Note 4 I was looking at.
