Not sure, but I have personal experience. I had my cholesterol tested in college
and my LDL was really bad - It was 199. My HDL was 39. I started riding my bike and dropped my LDL under 100 and my HDL went over 50. My total cholesterol is under 150. Not everyone is going to have that kind of drop, but not everyone is going to exercise for over an hour every day either.
