and instead of putting in Wambach, I think they would have put in a speedster to go for counters more. It definitely would have changed the game, but at that point USA still had ways to react and adjust their strategy, and definitely had some personnel to get some counter attacks after Germany controlled possession and pushed up more. So I don't think you could automatically give the game to Germany.
