Dear Ford. Wow those are some nice stainless steel fittings you press fit into
that aluminium throttle body. No really.

Um... when they corrode after 20 years, what, exactly was the plan? You see the top of the throttle body is above the radiator and well thats where any air in the system is going to go when the vehicle isn't running... yeah... was this some sort of science experiment to prove to some engineer that stainless steel WILL tarnish? Yeah I know you expected the whole cooling system to ALWAYS stay full and sealed... yeah. Oh that's right it did stay sealed for the first 5/years or 60,000/miles whichever comes first. So um... what's the fix?

Ford: A new throttle body $384.

Nope, a 7/16 drill, a 1/4-18 NPT tap and a EATON Weatherhead 05706B-C04 Male Pipe Rigid Elbow Fitting, 90 Degree, CA360 Brass, 3/8" Hose ID, 1/4" Pipe Size. Total cost = $11.52

Winning.
