Anything along the northern 1604 arc of the city from I35 to SeaWorld is good
As others have stated it will completely depend on where work is and how much of a commute you want
Alamo Ranch, Helotes, La Cantera, Leon Springs, Boerne, Shavano Park, Stone Oak, Bulverde, Gold Canyon are all good areas with good schools and strong church presence.
We've been here 12 yrs and have seen a ton of growth. BM me if you want particulars on commutes, growth patterns, etc
