been able to set his back foot in the pocket 75% of the time before a D lineman is running past his blocker. Go back and watch some games and see how many times that happened. He has had to run for his life on every play
I have no doubt that if he knew he had 3 seconds back there he'd be patient enough to take it. early last season, that was the big talk...coaches saying they told Taysom to stay in the pocket longer and, if he had to run, take a slide. But, it didn't happen because the pocket didn't happen.
