You're right ... I was thinking of their PER's and got mixed up
Malone did average 5 more pts/gm on 5 more shots/gm. Favors PER this past year was 21.8 while Malone's at age 23 was 18.0. Favors' offensive rating and defensive rating are both superior to Malone's at the same age. I'm sorry you have a hard time remembering my qualifier (written in nearly every post) in that Favors COULD be as great as Malone IF he has the same great work ethic and can be as durable as Malone was. Favors has better size and athleticism on his side as well as starting in the NBA younger. Favors also has better access to training facilities than Malone did. Malone was awesome because he worked his butt off every year to improve a different aspect of his game.
