I personally don't think it's any worse for a non-member to possess marijuana than alcohol or cigarettes. Just because some morons in Austin think it should be so, doesn't mean they're right. A little civil disobedience to unjust laws can be a good thing.

As far as the assault charge it's probably a he said, she said deal and should have been dismissed months ago. The prosecution, like it always does, is hoping West flinches and takes a plea rather than face an unpredictable jury. If I were advising him I would probably tell him to consider a plea deal rather than face an all white jury in Coppel, TX even if he didn't do it. Hopefully his family has the money to hold the state to level of responsibility everyone deserves.

I could be wrong and the state has more evidence than we know about in the reports but if not, West shouldn't be convicted of a thing.
