How can rebroadcast rights be worth that much?

Does anyone really watch those replays? I can't say I've watched more than one replay every other season. The last replay I watched was Texas @ BYU 2013. I didn't watch any last year.

I also have a DVR, so if I want to rewatch a game, I don't need BYUTV to do so.
