With Williams and others in the RB stable for 2015, BYU could redshirt Charles under probationary status - just thinking out loud.

Charles is already falling behind on summer workouts with the incoming freshman and veterans by remaining in Texas. So why not redshirt him, if he is allowed to attend school? Or, he could follow Van Noy's trail to BYU, although it sounds like Charles needs to be placed in a better environment quicker than Kyle did????

On another note, has there been any indications what type of extensive damage he suffered to his arm from the gunshot? That alone may be cause to redshirt him or he might not be able to carry the ball again? Just speculation. Quick recovery Charles and come to Provo!!!!!
