that he does have some fault here. Heaps under Anae did a lot better than under rookie coordinator Brandon Doman. Regardless of what some say, it was Bronco's decision to push Anae out and it cost us. Credit to Bronco for manning up to the mistake and bringing him back though.
You could also make the argument that if Riley Nelson was our best option for a backup quarterback to Heaps, then that is poor recruiting/planning at the QB position. Yes I know we had a transfer and James Lark didn't really pan out, but to bring in a guy that we didn't offer in high school, but now after his mission he is somehow BYU QB worthy? Sounds like we just banked on Heaps being the guy. The days of having a stable of good QB's at BYU were forgotten.
