1. Bronco has plenty of players making it to the NFL but very few of those players got drafted or made it in the NFL for very long. But this is a trend that's been going on since the latter part of the Lavell era. I mean how many players got drafted from the 1996 team that went 14-1? Just one guy, Itula Mili and that was it.
2. I think where Bronco made his biggest blunders were in his coordinator positions. He believes a little too much in promoting from within as opposed to looking outside for coaching talent. The thing with Bronco's staff is there wasn't much turnover until the last 3 or 4 years and then you had these bloodbaths happening with offensive coaches. I think we can all agree he does need to do better and developing a better coaching tree where his coaches leave the program to either take another coaching job or a promotion somewhere.
3. I don't get why fans are still hung up on the FSU game. I get that it dashed any BCS dreams we may have had but those dreams were gonna dashed by TCU later that year anyway. And just because we've lost to Utah a bunch of times doesn't mean the team wasn't properly prepared or that the importance of the game was not emphasized enough. Most of those games have been very closely fought but the ball just hasn't bounced our way lately. You could chalk it up to being outcoached but not underprepared.
