Please learn from our past mistakes. Please do not repeat them. Please be more respectful to our rivals. Please, Please, Please.
UCLA and USC have a healthy, adult, educated kind of a rivalry. Stanford and Cal have a very healthy and educated type of a rivalry.
Oregon and Oregon State do not insult each other and neither does Washington and Washington State.
Hate is a terrible, middle school, uneducated, and stupid and embarrassing type of rivalry among college teams. It became very sick the way Utah Utes and BYU Cougars acted and talked about each other. Sick, Sick, Sick.
We have a chance to start over with a new rival, (Boise State). Please do not make the same kind of ignorant mistakes with Boise State that the Utes and the Cougars made with each other. It does not bide well with a Church owned University or any other University of higher learning.
If we have already started out with the wrong foot with Boise State, make amends before it gets too late. Have a good educated rivalry.
I plead with you.
