I don't remember if it was the university professors' union or something, but I do know, after reading the study published as justification for BYU's placement on the probation list, the whole ordeal was probably due more to ideology than it was to actual academic freedom issues. Regardless, this is something of a dent in BYU's academic reputation as long as it remains on that list.
