They are ABSOLUTELY comparable when you compare - one LDS 5 star recruit is like 8-10 football recruits, bball misses are HUGE.

Rose is a good coach and an above average recruiter. He has not been able to convince next level recruits that BYU is the place to develop for the NBA. Bronco struggles as well, but don't project his failures as positives on Rose because he gets some 3 and 4 star targets mixed in with his 2 star and unranked roster.
