Drive to Portage Glacier. The drive from Anchorage to the glacier is beautiful
and just under an hour IIRC. At the glacier there are options of boat tours of you want to actually see the entire thing.
I went to it in very early spring and could barely see it from the visitors center and didn't have time to do a boat ride out to it. It was still fun to sort of see and enjoy the beautiful drive.
On the way we stopped at Alyeska which was again, very pretty.
