If we stay Independent, and we may, this is a big deal. Not just because of what it means today, but what it can mean as BYU continues to build.

The ESPN contract was nice in and of itself. At the time, everyone celebrated the exposure, and the fact that BYU was making more money than it ever had. But there was more to it. One of the major benefits of the ESPN deal is that it has helped TH create stronger schedules than we've ever had before.

P5 recognition by the ACC, BIG, and SEC is not a stand alone victory.
