The CCG with ten teams who have all played each other once before just isn't ideal. A rematch often isn't as interesting. With 12 teams it may or may not be a rematch, but it's less likely and it provides a legitimate "champion" who fought their way through their whole division and then a CCG. I don't know, for some reason the ten-team CCG just seems like a ploy to gain credibility that isn't there, whereas the 12-team version makes for a much stronger conference.
