My daughter finally convinced us to get one (she really convinced my wife). She picked some smallish terrier mutt out at the pound. This little dog is the best dog I have ever met. Never barks except at small rodents outside (killed a mouse once). She mostly just lays in the corner, but can get active when we take her outside. Tolerates being handled by my younger kids, and never pees or poos in the yard. She still smells like a dog so I rarely touch her, but she is awesome as far as dogs go.
