I dont know...I think 2016-17 could be a really good team.
A front court consisting of Mika, Davis, Kaufusi, Aytes, Dastrup (and potentially a stronger, healthier Hamson) is a definite upgrade to the 2015-2016 frontcourt of Austin, Davis, Kaufusi, and Aytes (not expecting anything from Hamson this year). Not only will the personnel be better (as much as I like him, I'd trade Austin for Mika and Dastrup every time), they will be more experienced as a group.

I think a back court consisting of Emery, Chatman, Bryant, Toolsen, Haws, etc. could be as good overall as this year's group (even with the loss of KC and Fischer). I think a sophomore Emery will be able to perform at the same level as Fisher (provided he can get and remain healthy), and I'm optimistic that guys like Bryant and Chatman can pick up the points that KC would normally score.

Overall, I think the 2016-17 squad will be a better group defensively than the 2015-16 team (Emery plays great defense, Bryant prides himself on his defense, and we all know that Mika gets after it on the defensive end as well). I think 2016-17 could be a top 25, two tourney win type team if they were to get a few breaks. I don't see any real weaknesses/liabilities in the two-deep. There will four 4* ESPN/Scout/Rivals top 100 players (Mika, Dastrup, Emery, Haws), a couple guys who were the best players in their respective states (Chatman and Calvert), a Fresman of the year in a decent D-1 conference (Bryant), and a Kaufusi (I'm just sayin') on that squad.

I really like the potential of the 2016-17 team.
