Not sure how much bearing playing college ball should have

IIRC Mike Leach didn't play college ball and Rick Pitino didn't play it either for his respective game. I realize that most coaches DO play college ball but the fact that someone did not play in college does not necessarily result in failure as a coach in a sport.
