We accept it in basketball. We accept that if you run an uptempo, fun to watch offense that your defensive numbers are going to suffer. We could run boring Utah ball in both basketball and football, but you guys wouldn't like it. We were more deliberate last year (in football, not basketball) than in 2013, and I suspect we'll be a little more deliberate this year. The breakneck, snap the ball as soon as it's set no matter what pace was dumb, but I think we're playing a little smarter now.
A lot of you guys always want us to be more like TCU. TCU's offense was only just over a second slower per play than ours last year. Their D still came to play.
