Our most effective offense and defense under Mendenhall came in 2006 when we ran
the fewest number of plays. Also, I believe we are very similar to Standord, who gives Oregon fits because of how they slow the game down. Fewer plays could help with decreasing injuries and allow for us to improve efficiency.

I also believe that slowing down the offense against teams that are better than us would help us have a better chance to win. Running more plays means more chances for them to exploit our weaknesses. Statistically, the fewer plays we run the greater the chance we have of pulling off upsets.

Just like playoff basketball - The more games in the series the harder it is for the lesser team to win...
