if you were old enough to watch games back then you could see the difference
on the field and it showed in his command of the offense and his confidence. That is reflected in his PER jumping from 137 to 169 between his junior and senior year. He only marginally improved between his sophomore and junior years (128 to 137). A lot of his junior year compilation of stats were due to his having thrown the ball over 500 times.

Go back and watch the TCU game his senior year and then watch games from his sophomore and junior years. You won't see any like it. His mastery of the offense and ability to thread the ball into tight windows and get rid of it lightning quick and accurately wasn't there between his soph and junior years. His quantum leap was made between his junior and senior year. He was truly amazing to watch his senior year.
