I would get the MBP with the highest specs. They don't make them larger than

15" anymore, and they are very light and compact for what they pack. The Air is nice, but will leave you feeling underwhelmed. You will want the larger screen and better performance. Wait for the Skylake powered MBP. Get Apple Care too. It's a pretty penny, but if you can afford it, it's well worth it.
