Wasn't Howell DB coach of the 2012 defense?
He apparently can do something right. Bronco also said that Doman was the best QB coach in the nation. We know that Doman turned down being the QB coach at Texas to take the OC job at BYU. Maybe they are very good at what they do bit that just isn't translating to the coordinator level.
