take a gamble on prototype project than on a scrappy overachiever. The payoff is better that way. The reserves at almost all positions in the NFL are plentiful, and just because a BYU player makes the 2-deep it doesn't mean that there aren't plenty of players that are either just as good or almost as good to take his spot should he not pan out. You don't draft guys with the intent of them being a career backup. You draft them with the intent for them to become starters.
